Donovania

Illustration and poster design for Donovania, a one-night tribute to Donovan held at Sala El Intruso in Madrid, where nine acts from the city's indie scene — including Brunetka, Space Weirdo, Lobos Negros and Ego Kitchen — performed sets made up exclusively of Donovan songs. Timed just days before Donovan's own Madrid show, the event called for an image that captured the spirit of his music: gentle, psychedelic and full of flower-power optimism. The design combines a hand-drawn pencil tree whose branches spell out "Donovania" with a swarm of colourful vector butterflies that gather into the shape of a heart, blending the organic and the graphic to evoke the bloom of the sixties.
